OpenBSD pf ported to FreeBSD 5.x

Release 2.00

This is the first release that really matches an OpenBSD release (3.4 in our case) 1:1. That means that this version of the port brings all OpenBSD pf features to FreeBSD-5.1R. FreeBSD-Current is lacking a useable ALTQ-patchset, which will be addressed next. The changelog since 1.66 includes only one major bugfix with route-to rules.

In contrast to the 1.0 release, we have changed back the Makefiles to install authpf again. Other applications - such as spamd, pftop and pfstat - can now be installed from the contrib tree.

Installing via security/pf port is suggested for production use systems.

Release 1.0

The release is about what was in version 0.61. We decided not to claim the latest mbuf-tagging hack to be stable as we have not been able to test it with the NICs in question. We need your help here! However, we included all bugfixes found since and the i386 optimized version of in4_cksum.

The Makefile of 1.0 are different from those present in 0.6x to make portbuilding a bit easier. As a consequence this tarball will not install spamd and authpf unless you define WITH_ALL or ONLY_AUTHPF/ONLY_SPAMD to build these applications.

The port will install:

The authpf port will install:

Spamd will be available as seperate ports in near futur.

We really welcome your input on any issue you encounter.
